Windshield Wiper Control Extension

Challenge: The client was having difficulty activating his windshield wiper controls in his modified van. When the client had the windshield wipers on high or low or intermittent he needed to be able to easily push the button to activate the windshield wiper fluid. The windshield wiper fluid button is a half rounded button which projected only a ¼ inch from the dash. The client needed to lean forward to push it in order to activate it and still have control of the van. The left hand is used to control the throttle and brake and the right for steering.
Solution: An extension of approximately 3 inches was screwed on the
existing sleeve and the existing button was reused on the new sleeve. Now the client does not need to lean forward and is able to activate the windshield wiper fluid when needed while driving.
Chapter: Hamilton, Ontario
