TV Remote Control

Challenge: David has no upper or lower motor function and was unable to
independently control his television set.
Solution: The TV remote control was mounted on one end of David's wheelchair
and modified to reflect the beam from the remote control unit to the TV.
Additional controls were also mounted with the remote control unit.
David can now use his mouth stick turn the TV on and off, select channels
and volume levels.  These tasks can now be performed independently
by David.
Volunteer: Dick Sircom
Chapter: Metro-Halifax, Nova Scotia
