Telephone
Mount
| Challenge: |
Ellen has no
upper or lower motor function and was unable
to
independently answer or place telephone calls. |
| Solution: |
The gooseneck
is a flexible casing (used for cameras) which
was mounted on one end of Ellen’s wheelchair and
the telephone is now
placed directly in front of her allowing her to independently dial the phone using a mouth stick and a
headset for speaking and listening. The phone can be
removed for recharging with velcro tabs which attaches the phone
to the gooseneck. |
