Stepper

Challenge: This project was done for a client who was having a difficult time negotiating stairs. The device enables the client to take smaller steps, as it reduces the depth of the stair.
Solution:

A Tetra volunteer secured a wooden box, just large enough for the client's foot, to a cane. The cane is collapsible, making the device portable. The client simply uses the stepper when she needs to ascend or descend stairs and then keeps it stored in her car for later use.

This device, in the client's own words, "has truly opened up places [that she is] able to go."
