Vancouver volunteers solved the problem, in part, by attaching a
sturdy aluminum tube to the crank handles of the exercise machine. The
tube was filled with a lead counter balance to ensure it will always
rest in a vertical position. The client will now be able to reach the
hand cranks independently.
The second part to the device consisted of a glove that provides
rigid support to weak wrists. The glove also has a hollow tube attached
so it can connect with the previously mentioned solid aluminum tube.
This whole system assures a firm stable link to the Saratoga machine
allowing the user to have a vigorous workout.
