Splint
| Challenge: |
The client has trouble typing because of
a lack of finger dexterity and feeling in his hands. He can use a
pencil as a splint to type, but it often slides up when he is
typing. |
| Solution: |
A pencil with a small dowel pushed throw
pencil is a
solution that was found to solve this problem since he already
uses a pencil sometimes. This allows the client to hold on to it
by putting the pencil in between his index finger and middle
finger. The small dowel prevents the pencil from sliding up when
he is typing using the eraser end on the keys. |
