Customized Wheelchair Tray
Challenge:
A non-verbal young boy needed a tray on his wheelchair to hold his
special training devices for communication.
Solution:
The requirements for the design included: a tray that was sturdy
enough to carry the weight of the device, and was either black or white
with a raised edge on 3 sides to prevent devices from sliding off the
tray. Also, the tray had to be portable and removable when not in use.
The result, a white, sleek, and sturdy polyethylene wheelchair tray
that "fitted" the young client perfectly.
