Ball Foot Stirrup

A boccia ball enthusiast wanted to play in the Boccia Ball League but
was unable to throw the ball as accurately as he wished. |
| Solution: |
With the help of a volunteer, a foot stirrup was designed to provide
a solution to the problem. A toe support was attached to the existing
footrest and hangs down under the wheelchair footrest. When the player's
toe is in the stirrup and he is leaning over the side of his wheelchair,
he is able to throw the ball more accurately and safely. |
