Bed Blanket Support Frame

Problem:

Due to a medical problem, our Client Member was unable to tolerate the weight of her blankets on her legs while she sleeps. She currently uses a cardboard box with one side cut out.

Essential Features:

Rough overall dimensions are 18.5” high by 40” long by 29” wide. Client needs to be able to tuck blankets in at the top and at the feet.

Solution: A simple frame was built using pvc parts that are intended for home sprinkler systems. The components are threaded together and therefore the frame can be taken apart quite easily yet the structure is fairly sturdy.

The frame can be easily disassembled, transported and used in other locations as a portable device when visiting away from home.
