We need projects

I am a Coordinator of an Enhanced Language Training group of Engineers. Our students would love the opportunity to help out, but there doesn't seem to be a database of projects available. Is something like this in the works? I would propose a listing of projects not just in our city, but across all of North America to allow the greatest amount of professional input.
